Privacy
What this site collects, what leaves your browser, and who sees it. Short, because there is not much to describe.
SanCap365 has no accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter, no contact form, no advertising and no comments. There is nowhere on this site to type your name or your email, because nothing here asks for one. There are links that open your own email program — described below — and those send nothing until you do.
Cookies
None. Not one, first-party or third-party. There is no cookie banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to.
The one measurement script
Our host, Netlify, serves a small script from this domain at
/.netlify/scripts/rum. It counts page views and measures how
fast pages load. It was switched on 21 August 2026.
We read the script rather than trusting a description of it. As of 22 August 2026 it collects:
- the path you are on, such as
/eat; - your screen's available width and height;
- your browser's user-agent string, which names the browser and operating system;
- six page-speed timings — the browser's own Core Web Vitals: CLS, FCP, FID, INP, LCP and TTFB.
It stores nothing on your device. The file contains no reference to
document.cookie, localStorage,
sessionStorage or indexedDB, and it does not read
the page you came from.
Where that goes, said properly
The script is served from sancap365.com, but what it collects does not stay
here. It is sent to ingesteer.services-prod.nsvcs.net, which is Netlify's
measurement endpoint on a different domain. Like any request your browser
makes, that one carries your IP address.
So: Netlify, our host, can see that a browser with your rough characteristics loaded a particular page and how fast it rendered. We see only the totals they show us. No other company is involved, and there is no identifier tying one visit to the next, but it would be wrong to tell you nothing leaves the site when something does.
If you would rather it did not run, block
ingesteer.services-prod.nsvcs.net in your browser or an extension. Nothing on
this site depends on it, and the page works identically with it blocked.
What this site does not load
Every page here was fetched and checked for what it pulls in automatically. The answer is nothing:

The measurement beacon above is the only automatic external request any page on this site makes.
Links you choose to click
The directories link out to restaurants, shops, charters and vendors, and the conditions page links to NOAA, FWC and Open-Meteo. Those are ordinary links. Following one takes you to someone else's site, which then sees you arriving exactly as it would if you had typed the address. We are not told that you clicked and we get nothing when you do.
Affiliate links and sponsorship
There are none on this site today, so there is nothing to disclose. No link here earns money, no listing was paid for, and no business paid to be included in a directory.
That may change. If a listing is ever sponsored it will be labelled on the card, and this page will say so before it goes live rather than after. Inclusion in a directory will not be for sale, because a directory that charges to be listed correctly stops being worth reading.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, their servers record standard request information — IP address, timestamp, the page requested, the user agent — for delivery, security and abuse prevention. We do not build profiles from it and we do not combine it with anything else.
Your choices
- Cookies. We set none, so there is nothing here to opt out of.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. There is no cross-site tracking here to disable, so these signals change nothing about how the site behaves. We would rather say that than imply we honour a signal that has nothing to act on.
- Access or deletion. We hold no personal data, so there is nothing to retrieve or erase. If you think otherwise, write and we will look.
Children
This site is aimed at adults planning a day on the islands. It is not directed at children and it knowingly collects information from nobody, children included.
When this changes
If what the site does changes — an analytics tool, a form, a mailing list, an affiliate link, a sponsored listing — this page is updated before that goes live, and the date below changes with it. A privacy page that quietly falls out of date is the failure worth avoiding, and it has already happened once on a sister site.
The links that open your email
Some pages here carry links that say things like "Out of date?",
"Recommend" or "Confidential feedback". Those are ordinary
mailto: links. Following one opens your own email
program with the subject and a few questions already filled in. Nothing is
sent, and this site is not involved, until you press send yourself.
That is deliberate and it is why there is still no form here. A form would mean this site collecting and storing what you typed. A mail link means your message goes straight to us the way any email does, we hold it in a mailbox like any other correspondence, and there is no database of submissions on this end at all.
If you write to us about a contractor, we treat who you are and what you said as confidential. It is used to check and correct listings, not published. We do not print names, individual accounts, project costs or addresses, and we do not pass your message to the business you are writing about.
